English Inspired by the Helen Doron English Method

In our children's group, English lessons are taught in a way that is fun, natural, and age-appropriate for children. We draw inspiration from the internationally recognized Helen Doron English methodology, which is based on the principle of natural language acquisition—similar to how children learn their native language.

How the Lessons Work

Children encounter English in everyday situations as well as during special activities—such as games, singing, arts and crafts, or physical activities. Lessons are conducted in a playful manner and follow the "listen—understand—repeat" principle, which aligns with a child's natural developmental pace.

We learn through:

songs and rhymes, which help develop pronunciation and the rhythm of the language,

games and movement, which help children connect words with actions,

pictures, colors, and stories, which support comprehension,and repetition in a natural context, where English becomes a normal part of the day.

Why the Method Works

The Helen Doron method is based on the principles of a child's linguistic and psychological development. Children learn a language through listening, emotions, and repetition—not through translation or rote memorization. As a result, they acquire natural pronunciation, vocabulary, and a basic understanding of sentences from an early age.

Key principles of the method that we also apply in our teaching:

• the joy of learning and active participation are important,
